Unfortunately JustaCowgirl's opinion of Durham will be that of most parents around the country. Duke abliity to attract the best students in America will be seriouly damanged by this case and today's election. I don't say that with happiness. It's just a fact.

However, don't blame those who, like JustaCowgirl, have never been to Durham; blame the citizens of Durham for electing an out-of-control prosecutor.

No - it has already been seriously damaged.

This could not have happened at a worse time. Acceptance letters were out and students were to have sent in their checks right while this disaster was playing out.

Duke's president has made it abundantly clear. He does NOT support his students. He should be fired!
