None. I have never heard such talk from an officer of the court while a case/investigation is still going on.

That is why I do not believe his hints about his hidden bombshell evidence.
Unless he planted something, and he knows the lab results.
Then again, if he had any positive word from the lab about DNA, he surely would have leaked it to someone before the election hoping it would make his case look stronger.

I agree, which is why I think there is something almost pathological about Nifong. He seems to see himself as heroic, and opponents as evil. His "as long as I'm here this case is not going away" tells me he sees himself as indispensible and expects others will see him that way too.

His public boasting of himself as "by far the best candidate" and "I'd be afraid to try a case against me too" type statements are more than odd, they're scary. Adding to the "creepyiness" is his grinning, confident persona.
