Hat Trick will love me saying this but I think Edmonton will beat the Wings in 7 games.....

I am happy to see the Habs doing well with Bob Gainey coaching them. Gainey is still the reason that the Stars were successful here in Dallas.

I thought Edmonton could outhustle the Wings. I still think Detroit has the talent to win the series, but I wonder if all that hard checking the Oil brings is going to wear them down later in the playoffs?

I am surprised the Avs won two in Dallas. Like Hat-Trick I figured the goalie situation would be a problem for them.

Why is Turco so good in the regular season and only average (or below) in the playoffs?

The Shark Tank is gonna be rockin tonight!

Actually Detroit has out-hit Edmonton in the 1st 2 games....

That's the thing...

Detroit isn't maintaining possession of the puck like they did in the regular season...

As for Turco, he reminds me of a young Chris Osgood. Chris Osgood has (minus ONE season on a completely loaded team) not won a damn thing.

I did not know that [Johnny Carson voice].

I have to admit I haven't seen much of that series, I figured Edmonton was checking like crazy. Last night I just caught the end of the 3rd in the Dallas-Avs game--weather was too nice and my moto has new suspension bits. I'll try to do better. :D

Heresy I'm sure, but some Sharks fans put a Sharks jersey on a bronze of Jack Daniels. LOL.

Me? I prefer Dickel for my Tennesse Whisky.

I kinda wish we weren't playing the Preds, as I like them as a team and seeing them do well in Nashville is nothing but a positive for hockey IMO.

BTW, the Sharks fans that were here for the first two games were nice folks, unlike those from some other unmentionable teams.

Edmonton and Detroit are going tit for tat on the hits but Detroit can't seem to control the puck like they've always done all year long.....which is why the series isn't 2-0 Detroit.....

Still could easily go 6 or 7 games.

True. Dallas coasted several times through the season and had 2-3 game losing streaks interspersed among 10+ game non-losing streaks. Very streaky this year. At times unbeatable, and at times they couldn't beat their way out of a paper bag.

Well at least the good news is that if Dampier plays like he did in Game 1, the Mavs should have a good playoff run.

And Avery just got NBA Coach of the Year!!!

OK you got me there, but I set you up pretty well. Sort of like a pass out of your own zone finds its way right to the tape of an opposing player (you didn't even see).

I couldn't get tickets here. :( They were sold-out in something 10 minutes.

That is a great series....Edmonton is a good team, Detroit is awesome in the regular season and come playoff time it seems they make an early exit just about every year. The teams that struggled to make the playoffs, a 7 or 8 seed have been playing playoff hockey for a month so when the playoffs start , they are already playing on that level. Both the Canadiens and Avs are seven seeds and are up 2 to 0 over the 2 seed in their divisions.
I love this time of year! Its great watching the games on CBC satelite feed, its fantastic. Its weird watching games on OLN and not ESPN.

I'm glad Gainey took over and is grooming Guy Carbonneau for the job. There is a Montreal-Dallas connection going on .

That Ottawa-Tampa Bay game was a shooting gallery. 7-4 the final, in favor of the Senators.

Edmonton up early.
