The wild card is that Crystal reportedly has already once considered dropping this charade. I don't see how she can possibly continue to lie and change timelines over the next year. I'll give it a month before she cites the stress, stops cooperating, and then files a civil case once the dust settles.

The accuser could just say that she has gotten threats and that she realizes that people of wealth are considered above the law. The black community, feminists and the Nancy Graces of the world would consider her a martyr and a saint.
Of course the lacrosse players would forever be labeled as brutal rapists that got away with it through intimidation. They would be social outcasts.
The DA would come out a winner as well.
