I grew up in Norfolk, VA which is one of the biggest Navy bases in the world. I promise you that the strip clubs were all over town and very busy at least up until the Vietnam war which is when I graduated high school. What's changed is the attitude toward them. The finally got them "cleaned up" which means they're just now underground.

Actually what it means is that Mayor Myra is in charge and Va.Beach cannot even have a Home Depot or Wal-Mart that doesn't look like it came out of Architectural Digest.
