From reading other boards on this case, it seems that many of them were victims of sexual assault themselves, and have come to believe that any questioning of a possible rape victim is a personal attack on them. So you can talk about problems with the case or the credibility of the accuser and one of them will go off on a tangent about how women never lie about rape, about the brutal "sports culture" or privileged athletes, about how accusers are still treated like trash, about white and/or male privilege, etc.
I forgot to add- they tend to remind me of hardcore pro-choicers- any attempt to even mention that maybe abortion should be regulated in any way, and you get a diatribe about how you must hate women, how thousands of women will be doomed to die from coathanger abortions, etc. I wouldn't doubt that the rape nazi/ hard core pro-abortionists strongly overlap.
LWalk18,
I found your response very interesting.
I am looking at facts and willing to see this from all sides. I despise (more than you know) the feminists and racebaiters who view white males as perpetually evil until they need something. Facts continue to point to these young men being falsely accused and I pray that all involved in this life-damaging smear bear the full weight of the law.
I am a rape survivor (age 9 and age 15) and it's disgusting that this terror is reduced to political pandering, outright lies, avoidance of responsibility, and emotional blackmail. That other survivors continue to view themselves as victims, says more than I ever could.
In the essence of full disclosure, I am an American female who happens to be black. All of my attackers were black and Jesse, Juan, DNC, NOW, NAACP, et al could care less about justice for women like me--we bring no profit or limelight. All I (and my parents) wanted was justice based on the facts.
