The Grand Jury is provided no contrary testimony. There is no defense present or available. Grand Juries are the tools of the prosecution. And they do not have to be unanimous. A majority will be sufficient to indict.

YEah and all an indictment means is that there's enough evidence here to make us think it ought to be tried.

And that's a real defect in the legal system.Why shouldn't the jury members hear all the info?
