Indeed I do.

That's not who we're discussing.

"Either you trust him or you don't.

Don't let the race or age of his wife turn you against him."

Oh please. Were I to court (nevermind MARRY) a 19-21 year old while I am 42... you would rip me to shreds.

Double standards are pretty in the morning light.

cool,

I'm out of my league here,

what should I think

If Art Bell were leading a 5 hour show?

Art needs our condolances.

I think maybe he is being used for ratings right now. His show's days are numbered.

I am a huge fan, and sad to see Art go.

There is no "double standard", the sexes are different.

A biker walks into a crowded bar and tells a male Marine to move off the stool. its on baby.

I'm sorry. He was unique, and I never figured him out.

But I always admired him.

I wonder if Art went off the deep end.

I've commented on this throughout this thread. My feeling is that there was a defensiveness, a giddy odd, nervous laugh in Art's speech when talking about all the circumstances that led him to do what he did. I think he's going to regret his actions within a very few years. I think he's also going to miss his old home.

I hope I'm wrong because I think he's a nice guy. But he sounded very odd for a very long time when explaining things.

We'll see.

He said she just graduated from college........ I'd guess she's about 22 or 23.

Art repeatedly stated that there is no divorce in the Philippines. I know not if this is true.

With that statement, I do believe that he is attempting to convince himself that this thing will last.

Since he is from near Vegas, I will lay even odds that this marriage will crash within a year and he is back in the States.

Should be fun to watch...

I wonder why Filipino women are so open mined about American men?

A shot at moving to the land of the big PX.

She might be 27 or even 32 years old. How old is he and she? Art's gotta be 55 or so

They'll live and broadcast from the Philippines but I'm sure they will live in the USA 2 months of the year once the dust settles. Art might leave his Nevada compound for good. Too many memories

From what I've seen, young women who marry older men tend to do it either for the money or because of the money. Take the money away and suddenly they find other men to interest them.

I wonder what my attraction is. I’m definitely on the poor side of the economic scale.
I’ll turn 60 years old tomorrow. The oldest female friend I have is 43 – but she’s married (recently). My oldest lady friend will turn 40 in a week. My closest female friends are all in their 20s.

Well at least Art didn't ask his dying wife for a divorce.

I hope it works out for him.

My late wife died just over 5 years ago. I did try to jump back into the dating scene within about 6 months, but had to back off. It was too soon for me. I could not tell if I would be falling in love with the woman I was with or just trying to fill a huge void in my life – and that would not be fair to the woman.
I’m just getting to the point where I am thinking of getting serious again, but I too would be accused of “robbing the cradle”.

Do you think this marriage diminishes his marriage to Ramona? It has shortened his grieving period and maybe that is good?

In a word, no! The impropriety of seeking a new mate "too soon" is in the eyes of those who aren't faced with the issue. While it is undoubtedly true that one is not thinking very clearly while suffering grief and is also highly vulnerable, I have known seemingly rapid re-marriages which have been successful (but only where longterm friends have been concerned)!

I have even known actual cases where dying spouses have suggested suitable candidates to their mates! It is not just a bizzare movie script......
