Let a few thousand voters contact his office demanding serious sentences for violating immigration laws, and Peter King will be back on board.

Sorry. Even James Sensenbrenner, the author of the bill, says this provision is "overkill."

What would you do, in your world of making ministers, priests, and social workers felons for helping illegals, if they just ignored this provision?

I'd like to see what you'd do, as a member of Congress who voted for this atrocity, when the American public started screaming when their pastors were in jail for doing their jobs.

Let him get a few thousand phone calls demanding strict enforcement, and severe punishment for aiders and abettors, and he will be singing a different tune.

Pastors are never 'doing their jobs' when they help foreigners infiltrate our borders.
