It may just be that Taylor's type of sound and performance is not suited for the pop-world of Simon Cowell with his psuedo-classical boy bands and Spice Girls. In that case, fine - he still walks away with a large fan base to sellout his concerts and buy his ORIGINAL CDs.

At this point, he should leave sooner rather than later, pay his dues for the next year or whatever he is under contract, and move on happily. No way he gets to sing what he wants or what he is best at on this show.

Your right, sometimes I think the best thing is to come in 2nd or 3rd in these contests that way you don't have people trying to pull you in the direction they want you to go in.
