Ya know, substance abuse would explain Bo's weight loss and inconsistent performances since he left Idol. Last summer he was rushed to the hospital where, according to published reports, he had emergency surgery for an obstructed intestine. We've all assumed his sickly appearance, excessive weight loss, and inability to tour and promote his album were all due to his illness. Before he became so ill in Las Vegas toward the end of the Idol summer tour, he broke his foot on stage.
All of that is consistent with substance abuse just as it is with serious illness. So who knows. The Post's PageSix was recently in trouble over one of their reporters soliciting bribes and being caught on tape. So double who knows. Who knows what to believe when a piece like this appears in a gossip column which, itself, has a questionable history.
True, true. I hope he isn't on drugs, that would be a shame.
