Re how a "poor" girl can afford $300 haircuts: Back when I was a teen (and we rode dinosaurs to school), some girls I knew who were in beauty pageants would go around to various local businesses and ask them to sponsor them, so they would have money to buy pageant clothes, for transportation, etc. I don't know, but it's possible that she may have done something like that.
Geeze, I hope not. Hate to think sponsor money was being used for $300 haircuts and slutty dresses. $300 haircuts is mighty frivolous.
