You called Chris correctly. You said he would win the competition 4 or 5 weeks ago, I believe. He certainly looked like a winner tonight (not my kind of music either; just going on the quality of the vocal).
He was the best of a tepid night.
And yet any one of his performances could be taken directly from the AI soundtrack and released as a pop single successfully.
Personally, I hate pop music these days. My favorite among the is Taylor Hicks, but his post-show success will not be as a pop star, rather more in R&B. All the better.
