Personally I find most of today's modern stuff (and that includes the stuff that Chris screams every week) to be generic, overproduced crap that is hard to distinguish from one band to another.

I do as well. Unfortunately, that's what sells.

I love Chris. However, my least favorite songs he does have been the "new" ones like "What If" and "I Dare You".

I loved his cover of "Renegade" and "I Walk the Line". I have also found some of his stuff he did with his band, Absent Element, and enjoyed it as well. It was not a repetitive scream fest like "What If".

I miss good rock like we had in the 70's and 80's - Def Leopard, Aerosmith, Styx, Queen, etc. A lot of that music is timeless and I think we'll still be hearing those "old" songs for years to come.
