As I wrote, those who immediately dump on its rude humor are the ones who don't realize their mentality is what's most often being satirized. The show's take on the Katrina hysteria, for example, is the ONLY non-conservative slamming of the insane bias exhibited in the reporting of that story.

But having a TV show only about fart jokes inside a TV show like South Park is satire.
