Obviously if the poster presented this subject in civil manor there would likely be a civil discussion. I'll admit I am not very knowable of this treaty but I do believe there has to be a process before the courts would allow an extradition. If not, I do believe your Government do you a disservice.
In the case of the last British Subject extradited to the U.S. to face murder charges, I believe he waived his right to an extradition hearing.
