I remember it. Great screen name. Wish I had been more creative when I registered.

Wish I'd spelled "Kimble" correctly.

Doesn't bother me -- spelling can be a game of chase too. I got it and I am pretty dense.

LOL! Me too, but here's the way it is, ok, register quick..... what name, it's not like you get a week to think of it. I want to post that profound comment to that moron now!

Ask the mods, I think they can fix it for you.

I've been asked about my spelling, it's on purpose.

Yea, except it probably was more like the moron wanted to post what was thought to be a profound comment. LOL. The moron.

I have two One Step Beyond episodes on DVD. I found them at Target for like 99 cents. I'm sure they were an out of copyright deal. One stars Charles Bronson. The host of One Step Beyond was John Newland.

I often argued that...years ago. I always came down on the side of Outer Limits..but it's been so long since I've seen any episodes that I don't remember any more. (I think OL was more outer space - futuristic - rather than psychological like TW..although there were sci fi episodes on there too.

Do you know if OL is shown on cable?

I don't like to be nickel and dimed or to have my download viewing habits monitored for "ratings" guides.

I kinda like doing things that way.

I use 'pay per view' and 'movies on demand' on cable quite a bit.

That way, I don't have to go out and find what I want to see. I'm crazy busy, I get to a store like twice a year. I try to remember to buy stuff online, but I tend to waste too much time freeping and playing Civ :-).

It works for me. Well, that and my TIVO -- I couldn't live without that!

Eh, I found it to be overly saccharine, pointless, and an about face to what had come before.

I stumbled on it flipping the dial but was not impressed.

Yeah, I know the problems with trying to screen things anymore. Standard And Practices departments at the networks are a thing of the past. NBC, Disney-ABC, and Viacom-CBS-Nick-MTV-VH1-TVLand-Logo-Paramount, and Fox aren't particularly family (or conservative) friendly.

I've got hundreds of hours of public domain radio (purchased from ebay although available through other sources).

The big media conglomerates don't want 20th century works to enter the public domain. They know that the public could have MORE THAN ENOUGH material to occupy their free time if it was readily available. And many of the creators/stars are dead so they are not being denied their livelihood.

I remember the first time a wanted to post, and when I actually posted. It was during Monica. I was such a noob, I was afraid to post, but I had so much to talk about. FR was so small then, you had to know your stuff. I could read every thread and every post in 1998. So, I waited and lurked. finally, I was confident, I went crazy and started posting during the supreme court hearings of the 2000 gore v bush.

I used to play civ 2, stayed up all night at times. What's the latest version?

Civ 4 is the latest, but I've only got 3.

It is so improved, I can't even begin to describe it.

Be afraid, be very afraid.

Just one more turn -- it's only 2 a.m. . . .

I'd almost hate to buy it, just for that fact alone...

Hmmm...OK. But why would you post this discussion if you have no opinion? Just for us?

I know, I spend quite a bit of time reading here and just can't keep up with the intellectuals. My pea brain still thinks I should add my 2 cents. It is kinda like my computer knowledge--I know just enough to be dangerous--to myself.

I said anymore. These are shows that were classics, broadcasted years ago. Lighten up Francis.

Related to your post (but not the rest of the thread), I started lurking on FR in 2000 (first viewed in 1999). Didn't join until the aftermath of 9-11-2001.

I was reading World Net Daily daily before I joined (so I was still getting the "headlines" from different news sources).

I'll read a WND thread now and then but haven't surfed that site in years.
