I like the Straight Eight cukes...they're not as apt to turn bitter.

If you have room, you can just grow them in hills and let 'em spread out.

That was how I was planning to do 'em...hadn't occurred to me that I'd need to do more.

Well, that settles it then...it's Straight Eight.

I'm growing them up a trellis in thenewbed. The one that is completely lined with hardware cloth.

I can't log in but for a few seconds at at time...my phoneline is waterlogged or something and it keeps disconnecting me from the internet...

If this post goes through it will be a miracle and i apologize if it double posts.

Got online for a whopping 4 minutes last time. Long enough to check my email quickly.

The phone line is making a roaring sound. It keeps disconnecting me from the internet and the most I can log on at is 24 kbps. It happens whenever we have several days of rain like we have this past few days.

Shoot...and we were having such a lovely garden chat.

I'll check in when I can, otherwise, expect me when you see me.
