Through shadows to the edge of night

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;

Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone

Tree and flower and leaf and grass,

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,

Saw on another thread the Senate overrode 30-10; half way there. Heard a good commentary from Mike Shannon on CCW, thinks it will be a good election issue this fall. Hope so. RINO Graves vetoed it in the late 90's; and Kathie did it once before. SCHEEESH.

On March 23rd, 1775, Patrick Henry delivered his famous "Give me liberty or give me death" speech at St. John's Church in Richmond, VA.
Frodo journeyed to high atop Richmond's Church Hill where he stood outside the gates of the famed St. John's Church. There Mr. Frodo felt a kinship with Patrick Henry. Frodo thought of Mr. Henry's historic words upon this site and remembered his own words spoken at the Council of Elrond..."I will take the ring to Mordor, though I do not know the way."
In other news, my Dad would have been 77 today...

Mornin' everyone.
We're off to the meeting at my job here in a few minutes. Ramius went with me this morning to see the girls off to school.
We'll check in later with the outcome of the meeting. Prayers appreciated!
Ramius was out back taking pictures of the coconut palm. The coconuts are too high or I'd send one home with him. :-D
We're having a wonderful time and the girls were excited and happy to finally meet him.
