Yuppers. Produced by the BBC even. Just as creepy-strange as the original only updated (you can network your cell phone through the tardis now...).
Heh, it's sooo much easier for me these days. I go for a trim once every six months and leave it at that! Now that I'm growing out my bangs I don't even have to worry about them.
I used to try to have my hair styled until I realized that it's so thick that the best style for it is just long. Once it's a few inches below my shoulders I can actually do things with it. And it's so fun to have floating around my head on occasion!
Heh...there's rain in Atlanta so the race is delayed.
Apparently, they aren't showing the UNC on ch. 5 because the NCAA website is letting me access the stream.
So.....I've got the race (whenever it gets started) on the TV, the UNC radio webcast and the NCAA webcast on the computer (along with Dale Jr.'s in car radio ready to roll (if it doesn't get too distracting.)
Wonder if my bandwidth would hold out if I add the Cubs spring training to the mix at 2:00...
Moving 860 pounds of frap + not being in good shape to begin with = a pain in the neck. Shoulders anyway. And back. And pretty much everywhere else.
Glad I don't have to do that again today.
It's one of those rare times where I'm glad I don't have my own camera. :-)
I did do what she recommended and did a deep conditioning treatment on my hair. Basically left the ($12!!) conditioner on for an hour and then hopped back in the shower to rinse it off.
It's much softer but still as curly as you can imagine! Becky styled it with a handband and some hair gloss. It's taking some getting used to!
Hi there!
Been running around all day. I've had a most productive weekend. :-)
I'm off to visit my grandma for a bit. I'll call you in a few minutes.
Isn't it always the way?
Straight-haired folks want curls and curly-haired folks want it straight.
~sigh~
Heh..they've got the game on ch5 now. I'm watching the same game in three time zones: ncaasports is behind the TV and the UNC webcast is behind ncaasports.
Question for the gardening types...
I want to start a compost pile, probably using that wooden bin that the garbage was in to keep it contained - will need to screen the sides, I guess. So...how do I start one? And what sorts of things do I put in it? Do I just alternate soil and stuff like leaves and vegetable peelings? What should NOT be put into the pile?
And it can take a lonnnnnng while before you can do much with it, right? Is it silly to start one here when I may not be here for years?
The boys are thirsty in Atlanta and there's beer in Texarkana...
The blade was left bare because it has two plastic anti-friction bushings glued to it, and tolerances are tight.
Overall, not bad for a first attempt, although I'm not sure how well the epoxy will stick to the slick anodizing. When I get enough ambition, I'll take another knife, and scuff up the anodized surface with a wire wheel before painting. Later, I'll try some "coyote" baking laquer on another, although that will require an oven to bake at 350 degrees.
The epoxy finish is much less slick than the original anodizing, and I'd have no qualms in carrying the knife, as long as the finish remains durable.
I might email Cold Steel with pictures of my efforts. Maybe they'll offer us knives (they make good knives) at a discount that we still can't afford.
I'm going through the agony of writing an announcement that there will be no more sheath knives, and the few we still have on hand will be sent out via random drawing. To make the knives go further, I'm giving away the "elite" ones, too, like the Extrema Ratio and the Benchmade. I'm also giving away knives from my collection, where they will fill the bill.
Some of those troops will get a whole hell of a lot more knife than just a BK2 or Gerber. Most, however, will be disappointed. I'll offer all of them the choice of a Camillus 904 or Rescue.
Stuff composts fast if there's heat and if it's wet. I was thinking about where we put yours... might want to move it out by the garden and away from the house.... they smoke and smolder and sometimes catch fire ;~D
I would line the edges with some of the straw out of the stalls... - that'll plug the gaps.
I think the idea is to alternate and mix green and brown... grass clippings then shavings and manure, then leaves then grass - doesn't really matter a lot.
The question will be how you'll ever get it back out of there... need to maybe put it right next to the garden so that we can just tip it into the garden and spread it.
Any promise in that email from the guy who wants to donate knives?
It's wide enough that it might be possible to get a shovel down in there without it being horribly awkward...but if I did that, I suppose I might want to take the bottom slats off so I'm not getting caught on them.
I need another tarp. I suppose I *should* go to *town* for it. But I already made two trips to town yesterday and one this morning. *sigh*
I emailed him back, proposed a mechansim where he could choose who gets his knives. I think he has some from his collection he wants to donate. Haven't heard back from him yet.
All well and good, but we're still going to be disappointing a lot of troops. It was fun while it lasted.
It's important to stop getting more over-extended though. They'll understand.
Oh - Paypal in a minute...
I wonder if, when it's full, you can't pull the bottom of one side off, and shovel it out from the bottom... that's where the good stuff will be.
Paypal sent, Rick :~D
The monsters have discovered the squirrel feeder outside... The squirrels are NOT amused.
