Oh, I don't know. This is more my kinda mowing...
I mowed from about 5:30 until about 8 last night and got maybe half the pasture done. Gonna finish the rest this evening. It was the first time I'd driven this particular tractor and the gear pattern was different than the one I was used to but it wasn't too hard once you got the hang of it. But You really had to watch out for the hay spear on the corners though or you'd knock something down.
I managed to run over a big ball of barbed wire right off the bat and the darned thing almost shook me to death before I could get the PTO stopped. There's a junk pile out in the pasture and I was mowing around it and I guess the barbed wire got drug off the pile somehow and out in the weeds. But however it got there, I didn't see it coz the weeds were so tall and when I ran over it with the bushhog it got all wrapped around the blades and it was real fun there for a minute. Once I got it stopped, I drove it back to the barn, raised the mower, shut the tractor off, and cut it all loose with the bolt cutters. It was a real mess, but at least it didn't break anything and I could go back to mowing. I would've never heard the end of it if I'd broke the bushhog!
LOL I stand corrected:') Tractors rule!
Man, if I had that for a day, I could do some stuff.
I mow with a tractor, too. A big John Deere for the pasture and a smaller Kubota for around the barn and house. I've run over wire a time or two, myself.
I've hit fences and trees with the hay spike. The big tractor scares me. One tiny mistake and you're dead meat. I try not to daydream when I'm using it.
I'm jealous of your tractor:)
We use to have a really big Massy/Ferguson, and I loved driving/brushhogging with it. But it was really alot more tractor then we needed, so Mack downsized. The new one is a lot harder to drive, and I had a few mishaps in it. Crashed in to his lease truck...:). I was banned from it. The kids have it now down on their property and only Charlie and Travis are allowed to drive it. I do my work here with the bobcat, the lawnmower, and the weedeater:\ Not nearly as much fun.
