He was there, he just had a loose shoe. He got rode on Saturday afternoon after they set up camp.

We had a nice ride Saturday, rode about 2 hours. Blade did great for not being ridden since November. It was fun to ride Jake, he is such a good old horse. On the afternoon ride Frog and I went on we stopped at a creek crossing and Grace was drinking, Jake decided he was not thirsty so he just stood there. When Grace was done we decided to head on, I said to Jake "OK Jake lets go" he then put his head down like he was going to drink. We thought it was funny but maybe just a coincidence so I tested it 2 or 3 more times. Each time I said "OK Jake lets go" his head went down to the water, he never took a drink but wanted us to think he was so we would not go on.

Those are great pictures:)

Horses can sure figure out how to get out of working can't they:)

Rusty use to do that, he'd stop ate EVERY little bit of water and act like he was going to drink, he was always stopping to scratch his face on his leg too. Took me a while to figure out that was a ruse:)
