The ones you see in pots are Boston ferns... these are bigger, at least in the wild, and not as 'soft'.

They'd do better outside than in the house. It'd be best if it's a sortof shady spot, like under the eaves of the house... They just need a lot of water when it's hot, and they need for the dirt to be soft and not too compacted... My soil is pretty black and full of lots of composty material under the trees, but I see them growing in red clay up in the forest.

I just can't get over the size of those suckers every time I see them. They're gorgeous!

We have a type of fern sold around here called "Kimberly Queen" that grows well in sunlight. They seem to be tough as nails so that's the only kind I'll buy. Boston ferns just wither up and die on me. As you can tell, I kinda like my ferns...

Those are beautiful:)!!!!!. I have just the place for some too:) I'm so glad you think they'd be best outside.

Sorry I skipped out for awhile. I had to get my errands run. I've got some really neat pictures loading to show you guys, and not just of my saddle:). Funny the things that are around us that we don't notice till you look for neat stuff to take pictures of. There's a few I missed too that I may just run back to get the picture:)

Becky
