I went to Boston once. Had a great time and loved the mass transit, the Italian food, and the historical sites. I grew up in Portsmouth, Va. I also have family around Rocky Mount, VA. My dad's family are all hillbillies.

My NY friends live near Rochester. In PA, I have friends all over the state, Stanton, near Harrisburg, and near Pittsburg. My Harrisburg friend is moving to Texas in October but she will still be a long drive away. She is moving down near San Antonio which is a 6 hour drive away.

I love Boston because of its history, and well.. because it's Boston. The North End is great, which where I'm guessing that you went if you had some italian, and if you ever do get back to Boston, look up Mike's Pastries. It's the greatest place to get a cannoli. Brookline, which is just outside of Boston on the Green Line, has a whole bunch of indian and asian and greek food.
