Thanks. I just hate changing reins. I like the feel of knowing mine. That sounds weird but do you understand? I know about treats but I'm working on an exercise that requires a treat and I don't want to give her anything to chew with a bit in. A long time ago I gave a bite of my apple to my gelding. I thought I was going to have to go in and get it out.. It scared me so bad that I don't care how good they chew, no grass no nothing with bits in. I bought some molasses yesterday I thought maybe just a tad to lick until I can get a combo.

... just hate changing reins. I like the feel of knowing mine. That sounds weird but do you understand?... Perfectly. When I ride somebody else's horse and use their bridle, I always use my reins for that very reason. But I will change if I get a new bridle, just so it'll look right. I'm adapting to the biothane ones on the new halter/bridle that I bought for Grace and it sure is different. It's heavier than the bare nylon I'm used to.

(Never argue with an idiot. People watching may not be able to tell the difference.)

The feature is the bit can be unsnapped and taken out if you are going to tie them out on a trail break, and you don't have to carry a halter separate.
If you want a 'bitless' bridle, nothing in their mouth, you need a hackamore, like ecurbh and I are using. And you wouldn't want to use that with a halter on too.
