I'm not sure which bag you are speaking of the one in the picture I wear around my waist. Here is a picture of the single water bottle bag I tie to my saddle. Hair, You might want to cover your eyes and not look at this thing. I was LOL just now out in the front yard carrying it to the house to take a picture of it. It's wore out, but it's not my fault. The dog got hold of it, but it still works sooooo why replace it:)

This ties real nice to the ring that is in the saddle that my back cinch hooks to, then the bottom of it can be tied securely to the back cinch and it doesn't bounce around. I tie everything on with shoe strings.

Thought I might as well include a pic of my new saddle bag from Christmas... It's not too big... ecurbhs are a lot bigger, mine's just good for the first aide kit, my water bottles, some TP and my snacks.

Since this picture was taken, I've gotten black buckle dog collars to tie it on tidy with, and ones that will attach it to my cinch also to cut down on flopping.

...The dog got hold of it...

LOL!!! It looks like the dog's been DRINKING out of it! {just kidding!}

I'm with you though on buying new stuff when the old stuff still works. I'm still using the pommel and cantle bags I made from fanny packs about 10 or 12 years ago. I bought a new set of nice black nylon saddle bags with a build-in cantle bag between them not too long ago but have yet to use them. I still like the old ones.
