Well, he's a wise man. We would do exactly the same thing. There's been a strangles outbreak in a town about 100 miles from here and I won't take any horses in, even over night from that part of the country right now.

AI is a pain for stud owners too, and they don't want to have to keep collecting and shipping to a mare that might have an infection or cysts or something and not concieve.

You can't go wrong by just waiting a year and riding instead. If she were pregnant you would end up having to limit your riding.

So....do you ever do any free lunging with your horses in the round pen? I know it's controversial here but it serves a purpose for me but I'm stumped on something.
