The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - Who's Who *pics*

This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.

I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!

I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will now be pinging everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

Great pictures (and some really nice rigs there). Everyone has already asked all my questions :) I'm sorry about your camera, that's a bummer. Harley is really looking good.

I typed in "stare at picture to see hidden image and got this.

There were a lot there under this was the only one I could get an address for of the ones I tried. Since we don't know what to look for it might be hard to see anything. They were called sterograms. Maybe we should type that in:)

I know my daughter would jump on that chance. I don't know if I ever told you, but I had a chance at a job at Eagle Nest ranch in Tenn, about 18 years ago. The owner called me for it, and I turned it down. My daughter could still kick my butt for that. She would have had a chance at some of the best Appaloosas in the Country. Old well, we do what we have to do.

2 of my grandkids are going to horse camp in a few weeks. If they like it , I'll pay for lessons. The boy just wants to get on and ride but the girl , I think would like doing this.

Ok, I gave it a shot, and this is the best I could get, but it's better then I thought they would be. The flash made a worse reflection then the broken lens caused.

And the ribbons.

Here's the picture I took after the camera was broke, you can see the broken lens better. That's why I didn't bother taking anymore, but it still not all that bad.

I've always thought horse shows was the best place for kids to start at. They learn alot of good horsemanship in a nice controlled way:)

What a nice thing to put on a halter. Now you need a real nice leather one for Harley, and to put that on. :')

Leather would be nice:). But Jenny bought me a new black nylon halter/bridle combo. It has come in yet, there was a mix up:(, I'm going to put it on that. That way he'll wear it when haltered and bridled:)

Those darn fool pictures are called "Magic Eyes". I've never ever been able to see the pictures in them either.
