Probably was dumped somewhere nearby because she is no longer a kitten and cute, and is instead now grown up mostly and pregnant.
She is probably used to being inside.
She might have been dumped right at the store... yes, by someone who just realize she was pregnant.
Lovely cat:)
You could raise her as a barn cat. Barns always needs cats.
JP is here with me and really likes her she looks like his cat.
That seems odd to me that 24 came on at a different time there. It was a great episode, I loved they way they caught the president.
Becky
We wanted mousers :~D
She looks like my old Kitty #6. I've never had an orange female, always orange toms.
She sure is a pretty girl. I think orange females are fairly rare. I had one once too, but I'm like you in that the majority of them I've ever seen have been male. It's a shame that somebody dumped her at the store. I can't understand people who can do that sort of thing.
A co-worker of mine has just taken in a young dog that somebody had the nerve to leave chained to a post outside of the local Wal-Mart. He saw him when he went in the store in the morning and was worried about him when he was still there when he left the store an hour or so later. He thought that maybe his owner was just inside shopping, but he went back in and bought some dog treats and gave them to the Wal-Mart garden center employee to give to him and he told the guy that if the dog was still there that afternoon that he would come back and get him. Well, guess what, the dog was still there that evening when my friend called back so he went and picked him up.
He appears to be a cocker spaniel/schnauzer mix, is very healthy and friendly, has already been neutered and is housebroken. So go figure! Why would somebody dump a dog like that? The only thing I can think of is that maybe he was an elderly person's house pet and maybe they couldn't take care of him anymore. That would be a sad situation to be in. I'm just glad that it worked out well for the little fellow coz he couldn't have a better home. They have one older dog already who is an inside/outside dog and they appear to be getting along just fine.
I once came across a purebred black lab, tied to a tree at an elementary school, next to a bag of dog food. ~rolls eyes~
I couldn't keep him then, I was already mooching from my dad in between jobs, and already had Logan and Zulu. There was also a problem of having two, unneutered male labs in a small space. Logan wasn't ~really~ a fighter, but there was a lot of grumbling. I contacted purebred Lab rescue and took him up there... they ended up giving him to someone my brother found to take him.... so they just ended up being a middle man for a few days :~D
Rescue organizations sure are a Godsend. I'm glad you picked him up, even if you couldn't keep him.
"A friend of mine that lives in MN sold an Irish Setter puppy to a man in Belgium that also raises Egyptian Arabian horses. This is one of his colts."
I thought that with his little dished face he was just too cute not to share. The mare in the background reminded me alot of Bay, colorwise anyways, but I couldn't remember if Bay was Egyptian or Polish. I knew one of them was bigger but couldn't remember which and I knew you could set us straight.
Egyptians are the little 'work of art' ones. Typical for their very dished faces and little tiny muzzles.. My stallion was an Egyptian.
Bay's Polish... they're the bigger, relatively less fancy.
Ain't he cute? :~D
Too cute for words! He looks so proud too.
He sure is cute, I don't care what kind of horse it is, babies are the cutest and I love the look of those long legs on Duchess47's new baby! Finally got caught up on everything I missed since Thursday. I was out of town. Went to OK City, saw the Federal Building and the memorial with the chairs, that was just so bone chilling to see that. Stopped at the ARK Welcome center on the way back and picked up brochures on all the state parks that have horse trails. Looks like Mt Magazine and Devils Den has some pretty nice trails up in the Ozark area.
So sad what happened to Barbaro, I watched Dreamer on Pay Per View last week, has anyone else seen that? It is supposed to be inspired by a true story. Not as dramatic as Seabisuit, but a good movie.
I haven't seen it but it sounded like a good movie. I'll have to rent it at some point.
Oh that poor cat. I hope that she makes it through ok.
I'm looking to get, or make, an actual 'box' to go in there. I put her food in there so she'd go in there, but I left the litter box outside of it so it will stay cleaner in there.
And she was pretty happy and social about me coming in and out of there and all the commotion of moving that stuff around. I was more likely to step on her than have to go find her.
She perfers to perch on TOP of the rollaway beds and look out the window.
Anything else?
No I'm working through for the summer. I'm finishing up a minimester Thursday then classes start back up next week.
How is the paperwork on your end? State slacking up on the forms yet?
Please ping me on these threads. I love them!
Will do! Please join in, introduce yourself, if you have horses, tell us about them!
I wish. I got another love letter. I called to clarify something and asked how many of them there were. He laughed and told me 3. So far, so good on the third. Actually, I shouldn't be griping. It's minor stuff. I would have had the first one finished last night but Brian came over and I don't get any work done when kids are around.
