The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - Who's Who *pics*

This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.

I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!

I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will now be pinging everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

Well, I'd put it this way, if you wanted to film the entire kid's Christmas concert, that's gonna make a big digital file you wouldn't be able to easily send to people digitally (I guess you could make them CDs if you have a CD burner) But if you wanted to film two minutes of the kid's solo, that you could easily manage with a digital camera and either upload or email to people.

My Sony Digital Handycam will do that (I think) It has a tape in it but will also record on the memory stick.

ROFLOL....You're right, we're the same age. I just miss figured:). I also forget how long I've been married, it's either 31 or 32 years.

My birthday is July 1. I'll be 52.

I guess sine the first of the year I've been thinking of myself as 52 already, and so now thinking of my birthday coming up I went to 53. LOL. It doesn't help that this week I feel like I'm about 62:)

What a gorgeous little colt! I love his perfect little blanket. I like both his names too. And I'm glad that Farrah is doing ok now. That's really strange about her blood sugar. She's lucky to have you to pamper her.

I know how ya feel. I went through that for about 4 hours with Truly's colt. After he finally got the hang of it I felt like I'd been run through the wringer. I'm sure it's harder with Farrah not feeling well enough to get up right away.

Good morning:)

Riding today? I think I'm going to ride just a bit. i want to see how that shoe is going to hold up before Celia hauls over tomorrow. I'm going to vet wrap/duct tape around the edge, hopefully that will give it some stability.

It will be by the grace of God if that shoe stay's on,

Becky

Well, I hope they stay on. Not enough time to grow out or change much between now and then.

Yes, you did have a big shoe issue right before the last ride!

And no - won't be riding today, Bay's meds didn't arrive. He looks fine, but I don't want to push it without them. We're totally out now.
