What surgery?
I didn't think he looked too thin at all, but I know they like them heavier for halter.
Thanks for the pictures of the show! Tuffy and Prez and Tracey did great!
Sorry Friday didn't.... I don't know why!
Good morning - looking forward to pictures of her show :)
The judge yesterday isn't fond of apps and the only 1st's any of us app owners took were in performance classes. No big thing, goes with the territory.
Interesting... I didn't know about that! Did you post about it and I missed it? I hope he's all good now.
Yeah - judges have preferences - once in awhile it's nice when it's you they take a liking to!
It balances out - we hit one judge in the circuit who loves apps and most of the judges aren't so obvious about their likes and dislikes and whatever they might be, it doesn't influence their decisions.
There were four of us showing apps yesterday, a total of seven horses, none of who did well in halter or color or showmanship. One wasn't in any of the performance classes along with Friday and Tuffy - four in performance classes, all took at least one 1st :)
Congratulations. I think Friday is as gorgeous as the rest of them if not more.
Thank you :) She is really loud colored so any one who doesn't like color can't stand her. She is a pretty girl though.
In those open shows, it's a tough job to judge classes with horses of very different types, particularly if you have QHs Paints and Appys of stock horse type, with Arabs and NSH and gaited breeds too in the same halter class. A weakness for one is a strength in the other.
I think Tuffy's growing up beautiful. And I wouldn't want a colt much heavier while he's growing anyway!
Who's pregnant around there this year? When are your babies due?
What's happening in the last pic of Prez in Western Pleasure? It looks like the lineup at the center at the end, but if that's it, what's the deal with the paint? Was it just a halt in place?
You may not know this but I like color:')
Fancy is due May 9th and Farah is due May 16th. They are both bagged up, Farah has been in the barn for a week 'cause it doesn't look like she'll make it to due date, waxed up already. Fancy will come in today or tomorrow. I'll try to get pictures of both of them today - very pregnant :)
We would LOVE pictures of them today :~D
It is a picture of the line up, the paint was just at the tail end and hadn't moved up yet - he was giving the girl problems all through the classes, not responding to cues, shying. I think he was just tired. In that class he caused a pile up between himself, another horse and Prez. Prez stopped on a dime so no contact thank goodness.
LOL - I kind of thought you might like color.
:) Yes ma'am.
Farah, Tuffy's dam, bred to Sonny last year, due May 16th.
Both miserable, irratable, and fat. I should have taken pictures of their bags, both huge. You can see a little bit of them in each picture.
Oh the poor dears!.... Fancy looks BIGGER, but Farah looks more uncomfortable... it's just the expression you caught. :~D
May they both have easy deliveries and nice strong babies... spots would be a nice bonus, right? :~D
:) That's my prayer every year, easy deliveries and healthy babies. Yep, spots would be cool.
Sonny has been a busy boy. Poor Farah, she looks like she can't take another step.
Hey, great pictures, your horses are beautiful. I like Tuffy. Is the surgery a permanent cure?
I just got in. Celia and I did a little more then 3hour ride. Harley is starting to tighten up. I pulled the back cinch to the next hole.
