What about making ice boots? Would that help?
Thank You!!
Thank You!!
Harley looks great, so do the irises.
Thank You, but I am on vacation for the time being, ahem, so I gave my birthday to Hair.........
I don't know if it would or not. I've never tried anything like that.
I was just thinking that if he wouldn't soak in a bucket, maybe you could soak his travel boots in ice water and put them on. I don't know id it would work or not either.
Oh I can understand that. I've been celebrating my 39th birthday for a year or two (or twenty) :)
I think that might work for a strain or sprain where the heat is in the leg but I don't know if it would work with heat in the hoof. I don't think it would.
It works and you have not aged a day since then. : )
Charlies paint horse was standing out side so I took a picture of him:)
And this horse caught my eye:). I swear it's him.
I'm going to have to find out where this horse is from. He looks so much like Rusty it's scary. Even the way the mane hangs, the back end on the wrong side..
Becky
Dang. Did she buy Rusty? :')
There is a Medicine Hat mare that just came in that I have my eye on.
What do you get if you breed an Appy and a paint?
Well, we went out and evaluated again... And while there is a ~slight~ difference in temp, this time he and Cyn felt closer to the same. ecurbh felt too, and he thought the difference was pretty subtle. Warmer near the coronet band than the base, and all four feel the same, I hadn't really checked that before but I think Becky asked that.
So I probably led you on a wild goose chase with the heat issue, but I closed them into the paddock for the night anyway and gave him his 20 Isoxuprines and his 2 Bute tabs.
The issue of ice and cooling his feet made me wonder something about how and why ice works... If cold decreases blood flow to the area, could it be that the Isoxuprine makes his feet feel a little warmer than normal? It's function is to ~increase~ circulation, and maybe ice would be counterproductive to that goal.
LOL - well my son now says around birthday time "How old are you really?" Of course, my ex-husband said I stopped maturing at 16.
Well that's good.
As an aside, Bob told me when I got home tonight he started my mare on barrels and poles today. She does both patterns at a trot, wants to try it at a lope. She was having fun :)
No, the one that looks like Rusty isn't the one she bought. This is just one that was at the ranch. Kristy just told me that he's a boarded horse, stud, that is being broke to ride by a trainer who works out of the ranch.
Becky
:) You get a Paintaloosa - lots of mini people breeding that now. Really interesting color patterns. Do you have a picture of the Medicine Hat?
