This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will now be pinging everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

Yeah, the old one fits everybody just fine. I was just trying to get some extras that would fit too. I'm back to square one now, rethinking my options.
I've never had any luck at all with azaleas:(.
I'm really sorry about the saddle, it looked so comfortable. Would it work on any of your other horses? Is it that it's not wide enough? Will you call the guy that built it before putting it on e-bay?
How's Bluebell this morning? She looks like Jenny did about a month ago:)

Ooooo, that DOES hurt. Those are almost like a rope burn and they take a while to heal because it seems every move you make keeps it rubbed some more.
Yes, even the dogwoods and redbuds growing wild are pretty this year. This past Saturday morning after the storm was when I noticed the azaleas.

I don't know. I'm going to give it a try on Grace and see how it does. She has a narrower, more prominent wither than Bob does so it might do better. I'm really not sure what the problem is, but I can't call the guy who built it because he's a Mennonite and doen't have a phone. I don't know if he'd be a lot of help anyways. He builds them but I don't know how much he might know about trouble shooting saddle fit.
Bluebell is fine but her belly feels so tight that she looks like if you touched her she'd just explode. She could technically go another week or so, but I sure don't see how she could get any bigger. Of course a lot of it is just fat. I like my Mamas to have plenty of reserve for when the baby comes.
