Congratulations Becky! He is just gorgeous! Is this your first grandbaby?
Mine will be 1 year old next month.
We are sunny and very windy here in North Texas, currently only 63 but expected to reach the lower 70's. Personally, I don't think it will hit 70 today.
I'll bet you're right, I'll bet she's deaf as a post.
Hope, I'm remembering everyone:), Thanks:)
Ruthie......????????????:)
ShakeNJake, No this isn't my first. Jenny, my daughter has a stepson who is eight and we claim him as one:), and my son has a son who is 2, JP. All boys:), and I think everyone has decided this is it:), so boys it will be.
Becky
That kinda reminds me of a quote I've got on my about page. It's about men, but it really applies to horses too..."Never appeal to a man's "better nature". He may not have one. Invoking his self-interest gives you more leverage."
I like boys, had 2 of them myself!
LOL - yeah, indeed! :~D
Sounds just like our old dog Nikki. I've been thinking since last fall that she is deaf. My first clue was I noticed she never wakes up anymore when cars come up the driveway. Now I notice she doesn't respond anymore when we call to her. Once in the house I said her name and nothing, then I stomped my foot and she startled and looked around like "what.". She still barks her head off at times, but I can't figure out why:)
I've thought it really seemed to happen fast, but maybe I missed the "getting" deaf signs. My biggest concern is when she goes out to the road, she won't hear cars coming.
Becky
I like them too:).
Jenny, as she has gotten older, has become my best friend. We have alot of fun together, and enjoy being with each other, but even my DIL says Charlie is "his momma's boy.":)
Becky
"May God bless him always."
*smiling*
This is Blake on a trail ride with me last summer.
And this is JP.
Notice:) these are legitimate horse thread pictures, they have horses in them:)
Becky
Thank you so much:). When I meet you this summer you'll have to "say" that for me so I can hear it.
Becky
Ruthy - there's two trail horses available for sale... Friend Bob just called and vouched for them, two Arabs, 16 and 20, older couple owns them and can't keep up any more. $1000 to good home only, and together :~D
Or are you not really ready yet?
Oh he is beautiful. Congratulations, grandma. :)
Snowing here too.
And how are you feeling about winter? Any pictures?
Baby horse in snow?
Sounds like she is loosing her hearing. Try a dog whistle and see if she still hears that pitch.
Thanks:)
Snowing huh. Did you get your fern planted? We got some pretty good rain last night, but I'm afraid it isn't going to help much with the wind we are getting:(
It's rather cool today, but tomorrow back in the 70's.
Becky
My old Logan got like that... pretty oblivious to what was going on around him... He'd sneak out and eat horse sh__ in the paddock, and the pony would run by and kick at him, luckily she'd miss, he never knew she was there.
Sure thing! I'm ~so~ looking forward to meeting you!
Hair - you're killin' me! You know I'd love to have them for me and Rebecca, but they won't fit in the apartment. ;-)
I'll have to use "loaners" on our trail rides until I've got the money and space for my own. (Not to mention, get a full lesson from ya on how to care for 'em.)
hehehehe...
