Watch that bump drafting boys!!
Coverage of the 2006 Daytona 500 airs live on NBC on Sunday, February 19 starting at 12:00 p.m. ET.
I like it :o)
LOL
Absolutely, I think LOL I've never listened to anyone else. The announcers even said yesterday he's a great comedian.
Thanks!!
Kirk Quixote: Shelmerdine
"It was the people who helped get us here, friends all helped. Without a big corporate deal, it was hard to pull off. But people jumped in and helped, like the Lopez family. They wanted to help, and they got us all our tires. That was substantial. They paid our tire bill.
"And there are some very devoted Dale Sr. fans who helped us. And Richard Childress helped us. We were trying to get my son a plane ride down here so he could come watch the race. He's never been to Daytona before. Richard said he'd give him a spot on their plane.
"And he said if we didn't get a sponsor, we could put Childress Vineyards on the car, and so we did. It was a really nice gesture from him ... and maybe even a little nostalgia for the fans.
"If it weren't for family and friends, I'd been home watching it on TV ... and wishing I hadn't eaten so much pizza right now."
Glad you liked it! ;)
I sleep weird hours so I just got up and haven't read the thread yet, but I think pookie18 is running at least one of my comics in today's Today's Toons thread:

LOL...it only took you 126 posts to think of a thought provoking reply. I want to call your attention to the above League scores and the fact Mr Bender is in a 3 way tie for 16th to level the playing field for all that follow...
I did think of that cursed car thing yesterday when I saw the 18 get crunched. Don't normally give things like that much credence, but the thought was there.LOL
I'd like to see the 24 win at Texas, I have waited FAR to long for that one!
Well, looks like I blew qualifying and will have to start at the back of the pack.
Hey nice logo!!! Thanks : )
And I thought I did bad! LOL
Where did you get a picture of my team? I thought I buried them deeper than that! ;)
Today should be judgement day for Knaus, Stewart, and others.
Seven years ago, Johnson and Malec shared an under-furnished apartment in Pewaukee, Wis., as two-thirds of an American Speed Association team. Now they're two of the 500-plus employees of Hendrick Motorsports and - after Johnson held off Casey Mears and Ryan Newman in the 48th Daytona 500 on Sunday - they're champions of their sport's biggest race."Our dining room table was a plastic table that we zip-tied a steering wheel to and hooked up to the PlayStation to race cars in the living room," Johnson said, grinning broadly at the recollection. "My mattress was on the floor, and we were living out of boxes.
"So to come from that far - and Ron and I talked about it last night - to where we are today - we thought that Nashville Speedway was Daytona USA - it's been a long journey, a long climb and a lot of good times."
Johnson, 30, grew up in El Cajon, Calif., and moved to Wisconsin to learn how to race stock cars under the tutelage of ASA crew chief Howie Lettow. Malec, 31, was born in Chicago but spent a dozen years in Franklin, where he started in the racing business.
They teamed up for the first time when Herzog Motorsports moved Johnson out of off-road trucks into ASA and paired him with Lettow to learn how to race stock cars. When the Herzogs moved Johnson into the NASCAR Busch Series, Malec followed. And then they went to Hendrick together, as well.

Funniest (like a clown, and definitely not "ha-ha" funny) headline of the day, from NA$$¢AR.com - NASCAR lays down the law
The Cup penalties from Daytona:
No problem, steveegg,, This is gonna send a helluva message to fans and the rest of the teams.
