Now here's the odd thing; Matt and Tony are scheduled to make a racing appearance together at Madison International Raceway in June. They'll have things hashed out by then (if not in Bristol, then at Martinsville; a couple of tracks where this sort of stuff generally does get settled with little more than bent sheet metal where bent sheet metal is the norm).

I wonder if turn 2 was a little wetter than the other corners. I heard a driver say something about wet track...

Which turn was the camera lense wet? Was that T2?

I did like the (somewhat) lack of bump drafting. sure some was still there, but not the wholesale use of two cars stuck together like love bugs.

You're right! Crash wasn't involved in ANY major event today. Was good for a caution though. :)

I'm a 24 fan so you know I didn't have a very good day, but all in all, I'm glad it is racing season again!

I think part of the soap aspect is the reporters they have covering Nascar. Most couldn't tell a rocker arm from a rocking horse if their life depended on it.

btw Steve. My Thrift Store driver was Kyle Petty. Had I taken Wild Bill or Schrader I would have done a lot better in the league but I can't complain as I'm now running in clean air...

That does sound familiar. There were a couple of those for a while, though.

Coming off turn 2, IIRC.

I just saw my points. Knew it was bad, but that's quit range!

Don't know what it is with me and Daytona, started like this LAST year!

Well, only one more bad one, TMS and that is because I pick early.

Last 2 years, I had that range after Daytona, and look where I ended up :-)

I'm surprised that I did decently at Daytona this year; I HATE restrictor-plate racing, especially in fantasy leagues.

By the way.....enjoyed your coments on this thread.

I guess every race is stressfull,...even moreso...if Goodyears are flying apart, tearing up brake lines and wheel wells.

I'm suprised Tony became unhinged and either drove Matt's day to ruin..or simply made a bad judgement call.

LOL....not to be mean spirited to Kurt Busch,...but the number 2 car of you know who who used to drive it,
ya....2 would often have these bizarro mishaps where a tire would go down..or fly apart and end Rusty's day...allong with a few others.
2 was a Voodo car....allong with whatever car Robby Gordon was driving : )
Having Kurts former ride wreck him...plus Rusty's 2 on the door might mean double Voodo.
Smoke....Voodo, crash and Flash.

2006 looks to be great....except for points chase.

Thanks for coming by. Your comments, while I may not necessarily agree with, are appreciated. A different perspective is good and you may even change a few minds.

Everyone bashes KB, don't think he has ONE fan here.

Catch ya later and hope to see you next week, if not during!

Thanks Texas.

Find myself cheering for many drivers....and ya...jesting about Rusty,
But he was a great driver : )
Some fella's seem to have such bad luck though.
Bobby Labonte past years,Jeff Burton come to mind.....and....Ryan Newman

Nascar is the best piece of work on the tube....next to watching Jihadi get whats comming to them,
"Drop that JDAM.....drop it twice" : )

I'd like to see these super teams broken up.
Invite new sponsorship....and make the drivers seat a bit more competitive.
Maybe the fates will smile on Bobby Labonte....give him a win at Texas with his new sponsors :)

Allthough I'm a Tony Stewart Fan,....can see Ryan Newman in the Alltell Rocket hoisting the cup at seasons end,
that is....if bad luck does not come for him : )

Go Tony,
Go Alltell Rocket : )

Bad luck go away.....

Jihadi getting what's coming to them...now that's Must See TV. I think my favorite is still Jihadi vs Spectre, though I also really like Jihadi vs TOW, The Hussein Edition.

Jihad staggering around in their underwear and on their knee's pleading for mercy after an all nighter of B-52's with fuel air explosives.

heavy sigh though,
Jihad are free range like chickens now,

And B52's are parked.

If Clinton can blow away the Chinese Embassy,

Bush should at least vaporize that mizerable rats nest known as Al Jazeera.

President Bush.....no more Saudi's at Crawford,

Have Nascar drivers over instead : )

I watched enough of today's event for it to inspire a comic strip:
