Do you have your Computer hooked up to your cable?

I have everything but the kitchen sink hooked up to my computer but I don´t have cable yet.

If you have a TV/Monitor all you need is box to act as a nine pin junction to connect your Monitor and TV – Your TV/Monitor should have the ability to select which input you want at any time - mine has SCART, HDTV, PC, DVI, TV, AV, S-Video, YcbCr. Yours should have all these except SCART, which is only used in Europe and combines some of those other facilities.

I am not on cable as I cannot get it here in Sada yet, so I am on 1GHz ADSL for the Internet which is just as fast as cable since I upgraded from 512Khz I use Satellite with two detectors for Free Satellite TV, and a normal antenna for Terrestrial analog TV with a digital decoder for Terrestrial Digital TV.

I am too cheap to be on anything that I have to pay for in the TV line.

I have set it up so that I have everything on both my PC Monitor and HDTV/Monitor or a variation of them by use of a TV card in my computer. I also have VCR and DVD set up on both screens and can capture anything I can see on my monitors as stills or videos. I almost forgot, I have an E-book hooked up to download text and all the connectors hooked up to upload my cameras stuff.

I use my computer via Skype as a telephone too but until I can get onto cable I will still have to pay Telefonica for phone and ADSL and that troubles me greatly as I only need my cell phone and not the fixed charge of the telephone company.

More and more people here are disconnecting their telephones and using cell phones which are much cheaper unless you make lots of calls, but then you can use you’re your computer to call for nothing to another computer or very much cheaper from computer to cell or fixed phones or vice versa.

I use a wireless head phone for audio for everything but I still have to use a line connection to Skype as I have not found a wireless headset microphone combination, except for Blue tooth cell phones hands free set ups and they are not quite what I want.

My set up is a little complicated and I don’t think you would want to copy it, it sort of grew just like Topsy.

Ooooh! I have a wind-up flash light in case I blow everything.
