To: null and void

My understanding is that after the defense denied suppression of his confession, the prosecution still offered him a plea! That is despite a VERY damning confession (positively nauseating to read) and a now 7 year old girl who wants to tell the judge her story. A jury would send this b*stard where he'd never have access to another child. Alas, another postponement (big shocker there) and his attorney is going to try and talk him into taking the plea, which would be 10 years. They would doubtless count time served, and based on my experience of how the system operates here, he'll be out and perping on kids again in 2 years, tops...and if he's really lucky, he'll have access to the internet in pen and can have his next victims all picked out.
