I'll be changing my folding name as my wu's complete to honor my best friend, who I just had to put down due to CANCER.

I know to some this may seem silly, but I'm am truely heartbroken and depressed.

If you've never had a dog, or any pet really, that showed you love...and made you FEEL that love, then you're missing one of life's greatest and warmest joys.

R.I.P.*** DUKE *** 1995-2006

I'm so sorry. Eleven years old, I'm sure he had a full and happy life with you.

The loss of a pet is real grief and causes us to travel through the stages of grief - denial, anger, depression, guilt, and acceptance. These stages must be lived through for the mourning process to allow full healing.

RIP Duke. Your name, honor, and friendship will live on, here at FR.

Papa, been there, I had to put my closest friend down 8 years ago. I still think of him, and miss him. I bet Brandy and Duke are having a hell of a good time right now though.

PS, bless your heart. What a beautiful animal to have blessed your life for so many years.

We have acquired 3 bassets over the last 2 years. Every day I look at their silly faces and wonder what I am going to do when they are gone. It is going to be heartbreaking.

We had guinea pigs & hamsters before this. I couldn't talk to people when I lost one of them. The dogs are so much more into our lives.
