How long does it take for a work unit to download and start folding?

I'm on a cable internet connection.

about a minute +/- if I remember...see post #52 for some install tips. Is it working for you yet?

You should have a red flower on your lower right tool bar. Results for when you finish your first WU will take a day or two.

On a cable modem connection, it should only take a minute or so for the software to download the core, and the work.

From downloading the client, to crunching your first work unit, should take about 2 minutes.

After your first workunit is downloaded, and started, it may take anywhere from 10-60 minutes for it to adjust to your computer, and calculate the timing. ( ie, until it does, you'll get some weird results like "this workunit will take 11 years to complete :)...... )
