Manuals are easy and like a bike, you never forget. I have driven 4 speeds and 5 speeds shifted normal like the cars we drive here in the U.S. and over in Okinawa, Japan I drove a 4 speed stick shift where you have to change the gears using your left hand because the steering wheel was on the right {our passenger side} which was very strange and took a little getting used to it and throw in that driving on the other side of the road wrinkle too - at least the clutch, brake and gas pedals were the same. I have also driven "3 on the tree" stick shifts where the gears were on the steering column.
