Always appreciate your post-mortems, but methinks you are off about Will. Nice kid and my wife says he is tres cute, but too bland and unimpressive to go any further. He goes tonight. Agree with you on Chris - sucking mic doesn't work for me either!
But I think both Chris and Taylor have built up so much support that they can "coast" on occasion with less than great performances - at least until the final 10. In fact, it may not hurt them to lower expectations a little and save their best for later.

Do enough to stay in and remain 'interesting' but not too much so that they have worry about not meeting expectations later. You might be onto something! It might explain why Taylor hasn't knocked one out of the park yet.

I think Will has the most potential of any of the guys, with the possible exception of Elliott. I know this generally biases me against the older competitors, but let's face it -- guys like Chris and Taylor are as good as they're ever going to be. There's a reason they're still undiscovered talent, and that reason is that they're very good, but not great.
Will, likewise, is very good, but not great. The difference is that he still has a huge amount of potential to grow, and I don't think the others do.
