Good night, Jonny.
Missed the shows this week. Maybe next week I'll catch 'em.
ah, thanks..
Hey I just saw a promo for the new show "The Unit" starring 24's Dennis Haysbert. Looks pretty good! David Palmer becomes Jack Bauer :)
Are you joking? Hope not that sounds good. :)
I am glad she won. :)
This is the first I recall hearing from Patrick Hall -- he sounds pretty good. Old favorities like Paris Bennett, Katherine McPhee, and Lisa Tucker all did fine (though the latter two had reversed comments from their initial auditions -- this time, Katherine seemed very composed and Lisa was "pushing" a little too much).
I think "Cowboy Kid" was let through to the next round for two reasons: 1) they've probably already decided that unless he completely stunk up the joint, that they would let him stay to the final cut, and 2) although his performance wasn't good, he got the nerves under control this time -- a big improvement in the area he had the biggest problems in during his initial audition.
These episodes were "in the can" before the arrest.
With a baseball bat, I hope.
Mrs. kevkrom was wondering what he's on... I told her that after that performance, probably a restraining order.
The cowboy kid is simply socially inept. Dont mean that in a bad way. Great guy, kind, friendly and VERY naive.
Doesnt know how to act when excited or relate to anyone there but who can blame him? He has been a farmer since day one and hasnt seen alot or experienced much.
I dont think he is even close to an American Idol but his experiences will make round him out overall.
Its something that can make him a stronger (and possibly relaxed) person.
And it looks good too :)
Here's the official CBS description of the show--
From Executive Producers David Mamet and Shawn Ryan, THE UNIT is an action drama that follows a covert team of Special Forces operatives as they risk their lives on undercover missions around the globe, while their families maintain the home front, protecting their husbands secrets. Jonas Blane [Haysbert] leads the Unit on missions out in the field and is responsible for taking new recruit Bob Brown under his wing. The Unit includes Jonas, Colonel Tom Ryan, Mack Gerhardt, Charles Grey, Hector Williams and Bob Brown, all highly skilled, trustworthy, brave and dependable soldiers whose ability to rely on each other is what creates their brotherhood. Jonas wife, Molly, is the base matriarch who comforts and counsels the other wives as they cope with the fear and uncertainty they experience when their husbands leave home. Molly and Tiffy Gerhardt, a wife hiding her own dark secrets, help Bobs pregnant wife, Kim, acclimate to the stress of her new secret life.
Here's a link to CBS's page on the show--there's a video link there too so you can see the promo.

It sure does. I had no idea she was a meth addict.
Oh I am so glad I turned it off when I did.
I would pay to see that.
I told her that after that performance, probably a restraining order.
If not, he should be.
You know, it just occured to me that AI must have hundreds, if not thousands of hours of tape shot at all the auditions and the Hollywood early shows...If FOX were smart..they would show them on the FX channel.. all during the AI season. The ratings would be awesome..
You are right. It sure would beat hours of COPS and That 70's Show.
That sounds really good. The ONLY thing I see that causes me concern is that CBS is the affiliate. :( Hope they don't make it from their liberal point of view. Then I won't be able to like the Haysbert character. And that would be wrong. :) Thanks for the info.
You should call that idea in! I would definately watch. :)
That 70's Show.
Sometimes that show can be really funny, but I had to stop watching when one of the characters kept wearing the Che Guivarra(sp?) t-shirt. Now you see teens and 20 something's wearing them all the time. :(
Did you see the photo of Bo I posted night before last? He's looking a lot better. Still pale, but he has put weight back on and is looking healthy. Crossing my fingers for him.
