Not precisely, but she wants to go outside in the afternoon to play with her friends, which she can't do if she's been declared Exhausted and sent to bed. Especially since she still has to do schoolwork once she's "recovered."
It's a little routine we have, where I say, "I'm sure you're not deliberately defying my instructions, because that would be Stupid. You must just be too tired to think straight. Have a nice rest ... turn in your CD player first, so you're not distracted ..."
I, of course, would spend most of my waking hours asleep, if I wasn't spending them feeding and changing Vlad :-).
You are soooooo SMOOTH! I'm gonna steal that approach for use with my little darlings.
