Oh, that sounds fun! (ahem ...).
I used to do a temp job every year, converting foreign currencies to dollars for a tax lawyer. I had to look up the exchange rates on the microfilm of the "Wall Street Journal" on the date of every stock transaction the customers made during the year. I'd work about a week at it, 8 hours a day, and end up with $500 or so.
Now it could all be found on the Internet, but this was in the early 90's.
Back in the day when people still had to know how to use non-computerized references! And indexes!
