I have my telescope design ready for posting.
Excellent.
In (dis)Honor of the Fort Drum Sentient Jello:
The Battle of the Sentient Jello
The opponents squared off eyeing eyes and not I, I see
The Jello thing versus myself, you see.
And on the plate the antagonist roamed.
Twisting, thrashing, squirming.
Deftly avoiding my deadly spoon.
Sliding, slimy, gooey, doomed.
Suddenly my fist with forks festooned,
the Jello thing, its guts harpooned
Was beaten before the horrified crowd.
So badly even the chefs were wowed.
But it is I whose guts were cowed.
The Jello thing, in victory, proud.
things that look like the blob and move like the blob should not be eaten...moral of the story.
Well.. it threatened me, and I was vaguely hungry.
But yes, that would be a bit of a rule of thumb.
Man.. that stuff was pretty bad.
That was one opponent I could have done without.
The Jello Thing never fights fairly.
I'm heading off to bed.
Do not fear the drek I wrote at post 2064.
Fear the Jello Thing instead.
(I get the bad feeling that I will inspire something odd with that.. much in the same vein as "Darks Fell In The Fax Maxhine"?)
night
"Man eats jello...Jello eats man from within"
Nice headline
Good morning, everyone! It's a balmy 19 degrees here in the Greater Charlotte Urban Sprawl. Vlad and I will not be going outside today!
We had an unusually restful night. I don't recall how many times he ate, but he went back to sleep each time, so it doesn't count. I'm about to ruin his day by washing his face and changing his clothes.
Happy Friday!
I'm about to ruin his day by washing his face and changing his clothes.
ROFL!!! I do that on a regular basis to Mini GiggleLips. At 15 months he still hates it! LOL
Hope everyone here's having a great day!! *HUGS* to you all!!
Hugs back! The clothes change was horrible, of course, but at least it's over for the day, unless he spits a lot.
Awww!! The little ones are sooooo sweet whent hey're mad, aren't they?? LOL
Yeah. When our two-year-old pitches a snit, we all stand around and laugh until he gives up and leaves.
And a good morning to you all...
Popping in and out. Think I'll go do some work at the library today. But I did want to say hi!
Hi! I just renewed my library books for another three weeks. My husband took the kids to the library sometime after the baby was born, so theirs aren't overdue, but mine were almost out of time.
I work at a technical library. I'll probably be cataloging serials of some strange type, that have messy records that have to be cleaned up because they came from another library that used a slightly different protocol for the MARC records.
Work that certainly will distract me from a stuffy nose...
Oh, that sounds fun! (ahem ...).
I used to do a temp job every year, converting foreign currencies to dollars for a tax lawyer. I had to look up the exchange rates on the microfilm of the "Wall Street Journal" on the date of every stock transaction the customers made during the year. I'd work about a week at it, 8 hours a day, and end up with $500 or so.
Now it could all be found on the Internet, but this was in the early 90's.
Morning. I think I'm here. Not too sure, but one never knows...I may be here just because I usually am.
On the other hand, the migraine may have its way with me.
Good morning, I guess!
