I liked that too. Edgar had a crush on Chloe, Chloe has a crush on Jack ... I would've like to have seen Edgar and Chloe stranded alone somewhere, with guns, depending on each other--that would've been interesting (and funny :)

If the writers are savvy; they'll give Chloe a chance "to take it out" on some terrorists later this season. That wold be a high-water mark.
