I am getting a bit dissappointed in this show. It's not just that it is getting a bit predictable, it's that I feel like I've already seen the same mistakes in previous years, and I would hope someone would learn a lesson now and then.

Yep, I've been a fan since day one, but last night's show was really a rehash of old themes. It's a shame the professional writers on this show don't have a plan. This show could be less hackneyed if they really put an effort into it.

Rudy the Hobbit needs a distracting family member? Didn't the chick who ran CTU last season have an annoying, distracting daughter?

Critical suspect killed by vengeful woman? Yep, done in season two or three.

CTU agent under arrest/detention needed for technical expertise? Done to death. Wasn't Chloe herself in trouble in the first hour or two? Recycling themes from the same season is really poor.

Chloe bringing the snark is about the only genuine enjoyment I got out of this one.

I was waiting for the mechanic/metalworker, asked to open the cannister precisely 10 mm from the edge to say, "Sure. How big's a millimeter anyway?"

Pretty lame. In the middle of a crisis, the HEAD of CTU-LA is taking walks to check out his druggy sister? Come on!

Yes, that's how they got her out and Michele back in. Sounds like a similar setup to send another Lefty (Samwise Astin) to the showers.
