In Season 3, Palmer and Keeler were in a presidential debate, which means (but was never said) that Keeler was a Republican. And so is Logan, I assume.

Are you SURE that debate wasn't in a primary? If so; that would make Keeler and Logan Democrats. I don't have any '24' seasons on DVD, but those that do could set me straight, I'm sure.

The first season, the Palmer assassination was on the day of the Calif. primary election.

By the third season, Palmer was president and running for re-election. Intra-party primary debates with only two candidates are as rare as a dog who can speak. Primary debates where an incumbent president deigns to debate a challenger are like a dog who can speak Norwegian -- even rarer.

Keeler and Logan are Republicans.

Yes but in my mind they are democrats. :):) I can deal with them better that way.

I know this, Bill Buchanon is 100 times the leader Logan ever is. The shout out with White House geek(Sean Astin)was priceless.

Keeler and Logan are Republicans.

I think the writers have been pretty wisely unpartisan... Palmer's party was not obvious either. One thing is clear, they aren't trying to make a political point with which party is in power, and I'm appreciative enough of that effort to just leave it alone.
