On the DVD extras....maybe I was dreaming but I thought I watched one of the "extras" of the actor who plays Palmer and he said he based his character on Carter and Clinton.

Arghhhh.....I like Palmer but those other two...yikes!

I saw that in some of his "social conscience" comments, but no way when it came to foreign policy. This is the problem with some libs---they completely mis-perceive what is actually happening. If this is true, it means Dennis Haysbert thinks that Clinton "made tough choices" in foreign policy.

You have to remember, it's not the actors that design the characters, it's the writers. And since Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran are not only creators but writers on the show, and they are big conservatives, I see more of an "ideal conservative foreign policy president" in Palmer. Definitely not Clinton and Carter.
